Tracie Berry-McGhee is the founder of The SistaKeeper Empowerment Center established in 2002 and The I Define ME Movement. She is also the host of The Own Your Now Show. As a licensed therapist, Tracie specializes in working with young girls and women. In addition to her therapeutic practice, she is a writer and motivational speaker who has traveled worldwide to help young girls and women discover their purpose.

What began in Tracie’s basement has blossomed into a non-profit organization impacting girls and families across St. Louis, the U.S., and globally. Driven by her deep commitment to supporting girls and women, Tracie envisioned inspiring young girls by encouraging them to articulate their dreams and goals through journaling and affirmations.

Along with SistaKeeper, she created The Wellness Mobile, promoting community well-being by addressing mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Tracie has created the wellness mobile and she has a new family member, Joy the Sista Keepers’ mascot.  Joy was birthed and created out of the need for girls to see a positive representation of Self-Awareness and Mental Awareness and the promotion of positive Digital Literacy.

Tracie felt that Joy would be the perfect wellness mascot for girls who are a part of the I Define ME Movement because she brings joy to the world. In addition to empowering girls and women, her speaking engagements, and counseling others Tracie has written several books. Her latest writing Joy’s World of Selfies, WEsies and USies shares the journey of a young girl who loves to journal, dream, and have fun. She shares how she balances wellness and the value of positive digital literacy.

Joy can be seen throughout our community at various child-centered wellness events, storytelling at schools and girl assemblies! You can purchase Joy’s World of Selfies, WEsies and USies on Amazon and JOY’s tee shirt, the Joy doll and the affirmation cards. You can find the Wellness Mobile at local events, showcasing I Define Me girl entrepreneurs, ambassadors, and Community Wellness Days by visiting online at www.idefinememovement.com/.

SistaKeeper wants girls to know they must define themselves and not allow society to do define who they are. The organization also recognizes that women are Keepers to our community, that they are seen, and supported and that their visions are celebrated.
