Just Vinyl and Crafts will hold their grand opening this Saturday, November 7, 2020. The event will be held at 10 am – 4 pm at 301 Union at the corner of Pershing and Union Boulevard in St. Louis, MO.
Sharon Beatty and Sherrone Beatty – Wells are the owners of this new and upcoming craft shop. Just Vinyl and Crafts is the only Black-owned craft store in the St. Louis area. Unlike commercial craft stores, Just and Vinyl and Crafts will offer a more personal experience for its patrons.
Surprisingly, this quaint craft store grew from the gentle suggestion of their younger sister Shanika Beatty who is also the owner of a craft store located in New Orleans, Louisiana. With encouragement, support, and training Just Vinyl and Crafts was born.
However, this is not the sister’s first rodeo. Coming from a family of business owners, the Beattys are second-generation entrepreneurs. They are also associated with other businesses. Cake Fusion and City Place Events. City Place Events leases out offices and spaces for meetings and events. All of these Black-owned businesses are in the building located at the corner of Pershing and Union, which is also Black-owned.
Shoppers should expect plenty of products and supplies that crafters need to complete their projects from start to finish. Some products will include heat transfer vinyl, adhesive vinyl, sublimation blanks, blank apparel, black accessories, and cutter supplies. There will also be prizes and discounts for those in attendance at Saturday’s grand opening.
They will not only sell a variety of products and supplies; crafting, sewing and other classes will also be available. COVID 19 virtual classes will be an option also.
Customers can join their subscription club. For only $10 a month, members called Dreamers will receive discounts and free quality vinyl every month.
