Master P goes from Ramen to Reebok with the help of ex-NBA player Baron Davis. The duo have teamed up to make one of the most significant deals involving Black businessmen in quite a while.
Master P is known for his very lucrative and prosperous rap career. After moving beyond music he was wise enough to invest and delve in the world of entrepreneurship and this has paid off nicely.
Master P has launched a line of ‘Uncle P” food products. Master P goes from Ramen to Reebok, includes his food products Rap Snack Chips, rice, kid’s cereal, pancake mix, syrup, and even Raman P Noodles. The rap noodles flavors include Creamy Chicken Gumbo, Hot N Spicy Cajun Shrimp, Spicy Picante Chicken, and Sirloin Steak Beefy.
Now Master P and Baron Davis are in talks and discussions involving buying Reebok from its owners Adidas for 2.4 billion. If the deal goes through this would make Master P and Davis the owners of the first Black-owned major sneaker brand.
Reebok was bought from Adidas in 2005 for $3.8 billion. But now it has decreased Since the buyout Reebok’s value has decreased so Adidas owner wants out.
Master P goes from Ramen to Reebok, which has a great possibility of being successful once Master P and Baron Davis get their hands on it. This is not the company’s first time partnering with Blacks in business. Back in 2003 Reebok and Jay-Z collaborated when signing him as their first music artist endorsement.
According to Forbes Davis stated that “I think Reebok is being undervalued. I left Nike as a 22-year-old kid representing myself and made the jump to Reebok, which took a chance on me as a creative and as an athlete. I want the people I know — athletes, influencers, designers, celebs — to sit at the table with me.”
“As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand, not just a basketball brand,” said Miller, “our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company.”
The business community will keep a close eye on this possible venture, which would be a first. To learn more about Uncle P’s Food Brand visit his Youtube Channel.
