Founded in 2014, by Eleanie Campbell STL Black Biz was created and birthed during the Ferguson Riots as a local Black business directory. After realizing there was a large number of unknown local Black businesses, Eleanie felt that there was a great need to share them with the community. STL Black Biz was created out of a need and love for the Black business community.
In addition to the directory, STL Black Biz provides a curated list of resources beneficial to entrepreneurs, including links to grant opportunities, partnerships, and organizations like the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce. The platform also highlights events that foster community engagement and business growth.
