Teenpreneur Leanna Archer Six Figure CEO
Leanna Archer’s business raised six figures by the time she was 17. Leanna Archer was 9 years old when she launched her own line of natural hair-care products. Using her great-grandmother’s Haitian recipe for hair pomade, Leanna began creating hair oils, hairdressings and conditioners.
Her great-grandmother in Haiti had a special recipe for hair pomade, and Archer used that recipe to begin a line of oils, hairdressings, and conditioners. At the age of 17 she was generating more than $100,000 a year in revenue.
Leanna’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. She has participated as a speaker at the Black Enterprise’s Teenpreneur’s Conference and a panelist at the “What Makes A young Champion” Forum in Singapore.
Archer is recognized by some of the post popular media outlets which includes, Forbes Magazine, Success Magazine, INC Magazine (30 under 30) and Ebony Magazine. She has also been interviewed by NBC, MSNBC, ABC, FOX Business, and BET.
Lenna Archer is not only a savvy entrepreneur she is also a philanthropist. Leanna founded her organization, the Leanna Archer Education Foundation in 2008. This organization’s goal is to provide for underprivileged children in Haiti.
When asked “what advice would you give to young entrepreneurs Archer stated, “Take advantage of the resources that are available for us. Fortunately, we grew up in a time where the Internet has just about anything to offer. I didn’t know anything about business; my family didn’t know anything about business. But I see it as a learning process, and I’m continuously learning as I go. And just most of all, when you have an idea, stick to it. Follow it through even if that’s not what you’re meant to be doing. It could lead you into something else that you become passionate about.”
